Objective
Born in China, I came to the United States when I was 10. In my films, I gravitate towards individuals at the border cultures. My work invites people of different backgrounds to find the common thread in humanity. My goal is to make the watching of the film as entertaining and rewarding as my making of the film.

For The Service Of The People (2009) is Lin’s MFA graduating thesis film from CalArts portraying a poignant and detailed study of a father who lived through the Cultural Revolution.
